I recently had the opportunity to experience the thrilling Circus Extreme show at the Boucher Road Playing Fields, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience. As soon as I stepped inside the Big Top, I was hit with a wave of nostalgia as the smell of popcorn and candyfloss filled the air, and the bright lights of the merchandise beckoned me in.
The show kicked off with a captivating video montage, setting the stage for an escape from reality that lasted for the next two hours. Unlike traditional circuses, Circus Extreme doesn’t have a ringmaster, but instead, opened with a live singer whose incredible vocals set the tone for the rest of the show.
Throughout the performance, there were a number of standout acts that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. The Danguir Troupe wowed us with their daring double wheel of death stunt, while the Ayala Troupe impressed with their award-winning high-wire act. And of course, no circus would be complete without a clown, and Henry ‘Prince of Clowns’ brought plenty of laughs with his slapstick routines.
However, the highlight of the show was undoubtedly the Extreme Freestyle motocross team, who brought their adrenaline-pumping stunts to the Big Top. Watching them soar through the air and perform gravity-defying tricks was truly heart-stopping.
Overall, Circus Extreme is a show that appeals to audiences of all ages. Whether you’re a fan of traditional circus acts or looking for something more extreme, this show has something for everyone. If you haven’t had the chance to catch it yet, be sure to visit Boucher Playing Fields before the show ends on November 10th. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it.
