police-use-stinger-device-to-stop-stolen-bmw-on-m1

A guy got nabbed by the cops today after they used this cool stinger device to stop a stolen BMW on the M1 during a wild chase. The police got word on Saturday, May 10, that a black BMW, swiped in Dublin on May 4, was spotted cruising on the A1 near Jonesborough. They tracked the car with a helicopter, and then the roads policing officers busted out the stinger in Hillsborough. But guess what? The car kept on going on flat tires at crazy speeds over 80mph, swerving in and out of traffic like a maniac.

Finally, the police were able to stop the car on the M1 between Lisburn and Black’s Road. They arrested a 24-year-old dude on suspicion of a bunch of stuff, including dangerous driving, and he’s chilling in police custody for now. Chief Superintendent Mark Roberts was like, “Yo, we found out this afternoon that a black BMW, stolen from Dublin, was cruising on the A1 near Jonesborough. Our special Interceptor officers tracked the car with the help of our Air Support Unit. The roads policing unit busted out the stinger in Hillsborough to avoid a crazy car chase, but the car kept on going on flat tires at over 80mph. The driving was super dangerous, weaving through traffic and even driving on the hard shoulder at times. The Armed Response Unit finally stopped the car on the M1. The driver, a 24-year-old dude, got arrested for not stopping for the cops, dangerous driving, handling stolen goods, no license, and no insurance. He’s still in custody.”

Chief Superintendent Roberts added, “One police vehicle got a little banged up, and one officer hurt his hands while getting the suspect out of the car. Luckily, he didn’t need to go to the hospital and stayed on duty. We’re all about busting criminals, and this arrest was a team effort. We work together every day to keep our communities safe.”

The end.
