outrage-as-britains-got-talent-semi-final-winner-revealed

Britain’s Got Talent viewers were feeling a bit miffed after the announcement of the winner of the second semi-final on Saturday (May 3). The popular talent show made its return to screens, with eight acts battling it out for a spot in the grand final. Magician Alexandra Burgio, dancers Cheer re Mans, magician and dancer Jannick Holste, singer John Pierce, dancers Lil M’s, guitarist Olly Pearson, singer Stacey Leadbeatter, and impressionist Will Burns all graced the stage with their performances. Simon Cowell was given the power of the golden buzzer and decided to send 11-year-old guitarist Olly Pearson straight through to the final. As the live show came to a close, hosts Ant and Dec revealed that singer Stacey Leadbeatter had also secured a spot in the final after garnering the highest number of public votes.

Stacey Leadbeatter emerged victorious in the public vote on Saturday (May 3).

Will Burns snagged second place, with Cheer re Mans coming in third. “The best experience of my entire life. I’m only 25 and I’ve already done it. And also, well done Stacey, Leeds had a good day today, so Yorkshire!” expressed runner-up Will. A teary-eyed Stacey couldn’t contain her excitement as she said, “I can’t even explain it, thank you so much, thank you. I don’t have the words! Thank you so much for believing in me, it means everything to me. This is my dream, thank you!” Despite the joyous moments, fans weren’t too pleased with the outcome, with many voicing their “fix” claims on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Britain’s Got Talent viewers were left feeling frustrated after the semi-final winner was revealed.

“ALWAYS the last act people see! Only act that gets through!! Fix every time,” one disgruntled viewer wrote, while another chimed in, “This pile of rubbish needs to be renamed Britain’s Got the Fix Factor, because there is NO WAY tonight’s voting was accurate. No way.” A third fan expressed, “Well #bgt result was disappointing. Two I wouldn’t have wanted in the final. It’s always so predictable,” with another adding, “BGT is fixed… another singer in the final.” A fifth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying, “I’m done with this show. Pure s*** finalist lineup so far. This is #BGT NOT X Factor or The Voice.” Olly and Stacey will be joining dance troupe The Blackouts and Scottish singer Vinnie McKee in the upcoming grand final.

Britain’s Got Talent is available to stream on ITVX.
