Belfast is gearing up for the return of one of its most anticipated events – the Vault Artist Studio’s Christmas market. This year, the market will be held on December 7-8 at Carlisle Memorial Church in North Belfast, thanks to a partnership with Belfast Buildings Trust (BBT).

The market, which features over 60 stalls each day, offers a wide range of products from Belfast’s best independent artists. Attendees can expect to find unique items such as jewelry, original paintings, ceramics, books, fashion accessories, and much more. It’s the perfect opportunity to find a special gift for a loved one or even treat yourself.

Linda McBurney, the Chairperson of Vault, expressed her delight in continuing the partnership with BBT and hosting the market at Carlisle Memorial Church. She highlighted the importance of supporting independent makers and providing a platform for them to showcase their work.

In addition to the shopping experience, the market will also feature a lineup of roving performers, an in-house DJ, and Christmas Elves to keep attendees entertained. The popular raffle will be ongoing throughout the weekend, offering a chance to win some fantastic prizes.

Food enthusiasts will not be disappointed either, as several food stalls and trucks will be serving up a variety of treats including Filipino spring rolls, vegan snacks, poutine, hot drinks, and more. The Sunflower will also be providing drinks, allowing attendees to enjoy a beverage in the unique setting of the church.

Shane Quinn, Development Director of BBT, emphasized the importance of creativity in reusing Belfast’s historic buildings. Working with Vault on the Christmas market aligns with BBT’s mission to preserve and promote the city’s unique cultural heritage.

The event is free and open to all, welcoming visitors of all ages to come and experience the festive atmosphere. Additionally, dogs on leads are allowed in the market, making it a pet-friendly outing for families.

The Vault Artist Studio’s Christmas market is not just a shopping event; it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and the spirit of the holiday season. By supporting independent artists and showcasing the talent of Belfast’s creative community, the market serves as a reminder of the city’s vibrant cultural scene.

As the countdown to the market begins, attendees can look forward to a weekend filled with shopping, entertainment, and festive cheer. Whether you’re searching for a unique gift or simply want to soak up the atmosphere, the Vault Artist Studio’s Christmas market promises to be a highlight of the holiday season in Belfast.
