A children’s cancer charity in Belfast is hosting a special Twilight Concert to raise funds for their vital services. Cancer Fund for Children supports children, young people, and families affected by cancer and is calling on the public to attend the event on November 21 at St Anne’s Cathedral. The concert will feature performances by ARCO String Quartet, vocal band ArdĂș, and the charity’s own Care Free Choir, made up of families, staff, and volunteers. The event will be hosted by journalist Holly Hamilton.
Power NI and Causeway Securities are sponsoring the concert for the second year in a row, showing their support for the valuable work done by Cancer Fund for Children. The McMillan family, who were supported by the charity during their child’s cancer diagnosis, will also be performing with the Care Free Choir at the event.
Helen Patterson, Community Therapeutic Services Manager at Cancer Fund for Children, highlighted the importance of the choir in bringing together families who have gone through similar experiences. The choir provides a space for mutual support, laughter, music, and reflection on both the good and challenging times they have faced together.
It’s estimated that approximately 3 children and young people in Northern Ireland are diagnosed with cancer every week. By purchasing tickets to the Twilight Concert, attendees can contribute to the funding of Cancer Fund for Children’s essential services that provide much-needed support to families during difficult times.
Tickets for the concert can be purchased on the charity’s website. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a night of music while supporting a great cause.
