The Police Service of Northern Ireland has arrested a 28-year-old man and charged him with grievous bodily harm following an incident in Waterfoot, Co Antrim. The charge comes after a 19-year-old was left in critical condition following an alleged assault outside a licensed premises over the weekend.
Detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team are currently looking into the incident, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning. In an official statement released on Sunday night, October 20, the PSNI confirmed that the 28-year-old suspect has been charged with grievous bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear before Coleraine Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 11. The Public Prosecution Service will review all charges, as is standard procedure.
