So, guess what? Belfast City is hosting over 22,000 people for the 2025 Moy Park Belfast City Marathon on Sunday 4th May. This 26.2-mile run starts at Stormont Estate, goes through North, South, East, and West of the City, and ends in Ormeau Park. Roads will be closed from around 6am to 4pm, or thereabouts. John Allen, who is the Chairman of the Belfast City Marathon organizing committee, is super excited about welcoming all these participants to Belfast on May 4th. It’s gonna be the BIGGEST Marathon in the 43-year history of this event, with 6,500 runners hitting the streets. There will also be 2,750 Relay Teams and 1,200 8 Mile Walkers joining in on the fun.

A big shoutout to the local community for dealing with the traffic chaos that day! The roads around Stormont and Upper Newtownards Road will be closed from 6am to 11am. Ravenhill Road will be shut down from 7am to 12pm. And there will be more road closures in the city center from 8.30am to 1pm. Prepare yourself for disruptions on Boucher Road from 8am to 2pm. And don’t forget about the Andersonstown Road and Falls Road areas – there will be lane closures and full road closures from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

The finish line is gonna be at the Ozone Tennis Centre, Ormeau Park. If you want more info, check out belfastcitymarathon.com or stalk them on social media.
