Isaac Roxborough, a 14-year-old teenager from Northern Ireland, tragically lost his life in a quad bike crash earlier this year. His family and friends have come together to honor his memory through various fundraising events. Isaac was a member of the Moneydig Young Conquerors Flute Band, which has raised an impressive total of over £50,000 for Air Ambulance NI in his honor.

The fundraising efforts have included a Tractor Run, Nearby Stores Raffle, a Sponsored Walk, and a charity table quiz. These events have garnered significant support from the local communities and have contributed greatly to the fundraising total. The band organized a 24-mile sponsored walk in memory of Isaac, raising £10,000 to support Air Ambulance NI.

Garie Grissam, one of the event organizers, expressed the band’s desire to show support for the Roxborough family and remember Isaac as a cherished member of their community. The band’s dedication to honoring Isaac’s memory was evident in the success of the fundraising walk. Burnfoot Nearby Store, where Isaac’s mother worked and received the heartbreaking news of his accident, raised over £6,850 through their raffle.

Additionally, the Annual Alan Smyth Memorial Charity Quiz raised £2,500 for Air Ambulance NI in memory of Isaac. The outpouring of support from the community and the success of these events have left the charity and the Roxborough family in awe of the generosity and compassion shown during such a difficult time.

Katrina Hughes, Area Fundraising Manager for Air Ambulance NI, expressed gratitude to everyone involved in organizing and participating in the fundraising events. The unity and strength displayed by the local community in supporting Air Ambulance NI in Isaac’s memory serve as a heartfelt tribute to his life and legacy. The fundraising efforts have not only raised vital funds for the charity but have also brought people together in solidarity and compassion.

Overall, the incredible response to honoring Isaac Roxborough’s memory through fundraising events highlights the power of community support and coming together in times of tragedy. The legacy of Isaac’s life will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew him, as well as those who have contributed to the fundraising efforts in his memory.
